Hola! Welcome to Casa Paw, we are a private home boarding facility with limited space.
We would like your dogs and resident dogs to feel as happy as they can be! We are open for small to medium size dogs. We do not accept breeds registered under the Dangerous Dogs Act.
Puppies
Who doesn’t love puppies? We welcome puppies <1 year old. Minimum age: 4 months, extra fee will be applied. Puppies must have completed their series of puppy vacs. Must be fully potty trained to go potty outdoors. No runny tummies.
Older dogs
We welcome older dogs, we’ll evaluate your dog's situation if and when it gets to that point with incontinence (urinary and/or fecal), you will need to make boarding arrangements elsewhere so he can receive specialised care, perhaps at a veterinary facility or in your home. Also we will be reluctant to take elderly dogs with serious health issues for extended stays. Even in a low or no stress environment like ours, long term boarding can take a toll on older dogs making them more susceptible to illness.
Non neutered or unspayed dogs
We’ll consider non neutered or unspayed dogs at our own discretion, additional fee applies. Keep in mind that when in-tact males reach about 6 months, very rarely are we able to have them participate in group play. The dog must not exhibit behaviours typical of in-tact dogs (e.g. mounting, marking, pulling, dominance etc). Strictly no females in season.
Health
Dogs must be in good overall health and good physical condition. We will not accept any dog who has had a communicable disease or fleas in the 90 day period leading up to the boarding stay. Unfortunately If your dog is scratching excessively or appears to be sick upon arrival (vomiting or diarrhoea within the first 2 hours), your emergency contact will be reached to come and collect your dog. No refunds will be applied. Please make sure your dog is groomed and clean before arriving.
Vaccinations
We cannot accept dogs without vaccinations. We will ask for proof of vaccination for Lepto 2/4, DHP(distemper, hepatitis and parvovirus) and kennel cough if your dog travels or if he interacts with other dogs. For Lepto and DHP please take in consideration that for vaccinations to become active will need at least 2 weeks before arriving with us.
In regards to the Kennel cough vaccine, we reserve the right not to accept dogs for daycare or boarding for at least 3 weeks after the kennel cough vaccine was given if it was given via the nose. If you opt for the injectable kennel cough vaccination we highly recommend to wait at least 2 weeks prior to boarding.
All dogs must be up to date with their flea and worming treatments.
It is a good idea to treat your dog a week before they come to board. We will ask for the latest treatment date and brand.
Dogs over 9 months of age must be neutered/spayed.
